About CDF HD

CDF (acronym of the original name Canal del Fútbol) is a Chilean subscription television channel. It owns the television and sound transmission rights of the championships organized by the National Professional Football Association for their commercialization and exploitation. It is the property of WarnerMedia.

In October 2015, the international sports networks ESPN, Fox Sports and Bein Sports were interested in keeping the majority percentage of the channel's ownership. In that regard, ESPN and Fox Sports had a serious advantage, since they offered the same proposal, which is a 12-year concession, which consists of televising the Chilean tournament, in the programming of both channels.

On December 16, 2017, the US company Turner Broadcasting System Latin America won the tender after the multimillion-dollar offer after beating Fox Sports.
