DR 3 is a Danish television channel owned and operated by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. The channel was launched on January 28, 2013 as a replacement to DR HD. Since its launch, the channel targeted a young adult and adult audience between 15 and 39 years of age.

Over the years, DR 3 has made a name for itself by adding different subjects to their broadcasts, which have included reality shows, documentaries, sports, comedy shows, music programs, fiction shows, TV series, and more. While some of the content aired on this channel has been produced in-house, the channel has also favored from imported shows, most of them comedies, that have found a home on its programming.

Speaking about sports, the channel has frequently been used to air high-profile sports events such as the UEFA Euro, the Women’s UEFA Euro Qualifying, the U-21 UEFA Euro, and the FIFA World Cup. Most of the games aired by the channel have included the Danish National Football Team.

DR 3 was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was made available to all users in Denmark to enhance their viewing experience. In 2020, the channel ceased to broadcast on the Danish terrestrial television service, becoming an online-only service.
