Being a recently created channel, Eurosport 2 Xtra has targeted specifically the kind of sports it will broadcast. In the past, Eurosport 2 Xtra has aired football games for domestic competitions such as the Bundesliga and the DFL Super Cup. Eurosport 2 Xtra’s coverage of the German top-flight has seen the channel airing over 30 games of each Bundesliga season, which may also include relegation and promotion playoffs.

Since the channel was launched in the past five years, its signal can only be found on High Definition format on select pay-tv carriers in Germany.
